The Orrery - Cutaway

I wanted to celebrate the one-year birthday of my webcomic The Constant Star with a huge cutaway illustration of one of the major locations in the opening chapters of the story. The main character Jea's grandmother spends her days holed away in these ancient ruins (called The Orrery), attempting to decode the ancient machinery in the belief that it has a hand in predicting the future.

I had already built a rough 3d model of the Orrery to help me block out panels in the comic, which proved to be a great resource when I decided to pull back and slice the whole place open for everyone to see.
